Operations Manager - lead implementation of new lean production line for exciting new product

This position offers you the opportunity to both take over an established and well-run function as well as to make an impact as you lead the implementation of an entirely new, lean oriented production process for a highly promising new product. Our Albuquerque facility typically runs pilot production lines and you will be involved in the development of new equipment, processes, and products on an ongoing basis. In this hands-on role you will plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control the Operations department, including both the product realization and inventory control teams (about 15 people total). To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have significant experience in optical equipment production, ideally medical equipment, and strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (lean, Six Sigma, etc.), including statistical process control. We're looking for a professional with a demonstrated ability to bring a team approach to working with engineers as well as assemblers and technicians.
