Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals is seeking exceptional organic/medicinal chemists to join our growing discovery research team. The desired candidate will be a results-oriented, strategic thinker who independently designs and synthesizes molecules of biological interest. The ability to engage in highly collaborative and fluid peer relationships with chemists and biologists within the department and through external collaborations is essential. Excellent communication skills and a strong track record of productivity as evidenced by patents and publications are critical. Experience in scale-up chemistry is beneficial. Knowledge of radiochemistry is helpful but not crucial.




Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and synthesize organic molecules to support current research and preclinical programs. Aid in the initiation of new projects. Collaborate with in-house and outside collaborators to advance projects.




RequirementsApplicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry. 0-5 years of professional experience and general technical expertise in organic/medicinal chemistry. The candidate should have relevant experience in multi-step organic synthesis, modern purification techniques and characterization of complex organic molecules. Strong track record of productivity. Excellent communication skills. Experience in scale-up chemistry and/or radiochemistry preferred. Industry experience a plus.
