PQA Engineer II Work Location: Buffalo Grove, IllinoisShifts: 1Positions Available: 1Position Summary Under general direction of the Manager - Product Quality Assurance, responsible for designing, implementing, executing, and debugging automated test tools using C++ and potentially C# or Windows, and/or .NET. Interfaces with the Development team to influence both the testability of products, researching and implementing automated test methodologies. The QA Engineer will be responsible for testing product features and technologies that lend themselves to being tested through automation and/or manual testing. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure software meets or exceeds standards and end-user requirements. Executes tests according to established plans and scripts; documents problems in a defect/issue tracking system and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved. Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. Drafts and revises moderately complex test plans and procedures. Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance effectiveness of Quality Assurance strategies. Implements requirements management by gathering requirements and building a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM). Reproduces customer issues when needed in order to support the service department and the development group. Performs upgrades to customer systems; occasionally travels to the customer site in order to perform applicable upgrades. Supports technical issues, upgrades, and upgrades as needed by the various internal departments such as training, service, and marketing. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years related and progressively responsible experience.
