Great Opportunity in the Medical Device Industry for a Product Development EngineerWe are seeking a Project Engineer to conceive, construct, and test medical devices as therapies to treat identified cardiovascular diseases. This is a rare opportunity where an engineer with design experience in the aerospace, commercial or industrial industries can cross over to the exciting and growing medical device industry. Our client is a leading company located in the Midwest which owns a global host of subsidiaries and affiliates developing medical devices and technologies to combat cardiovascular and urological conditions. The units are also active in developing radiology, critical care, and diagnostic tools.The opportunity is within the overall Product Development effort including manufacturing, regulatory, quality assurance, sales and marketing staff to coordinate the introduction of new products with this recognized leading organization. The essential position requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or Material Science. Advanced degrees are a plus. 3-5 years of industry experience in developing mechanical devices, including working knowledge of the manufacturing processes of metals and plastics in the production of high tolerance parts and assemblies. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
