Position Overview: Under the guidance and supervision of biostatistics manager and mentor, the intern will work on an assignment in support of clinical trial design, conduct, and data analysis. The intern will provide regular progress update and prepare report to be presented to Biometrics staff at the completion of the assignment. Key Responsibilities:Perform literature review of statistical methods for (i) dealing with missing data in an intent-to-treat analysis setting, or (ii) analysis of repeated measurements/longitudinal data and using mixed effects models Conduct simulation experiments comparing properties of existing statistical methods for dealing with missing data. Give regular assignment progress to manager and mentor Prepare final report and make presentation to Biometrics staff Minimum Requirements: Biostatistics or related field PhD student currently enrolled in a College/University General Intern Candidate Guidelines: To qualify as an intern at Vertex, you must be currently enrolled in a College/University and have at least finished one year of a Bachelors Degree.
