Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager
Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager
Essential Job Function:Identify and close new pharmaceutical solid dosage product development and manufacturing projects and opportunities. Build and maintain relationships and assure customer satisfaction with key accounts. Participate in the development and implementation of pharmaceutical advertising, marketing and sales strategies. Participate in applicable pharmaceutical industry associations, including attendance and public speaking engagements at shows, seminars, conferences, etc. 30-40% overnight travel.
General Information: Minimum 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry including direct experience with solid oral products. Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical business development or sales. Experience in selling contract services and/or drug delivery technologies for solid oral products preferred. Understanding of: drug development phases, generic drug development and regulatory process; SUPAC-IR & MR guidance’s; process technologies employed in final solid oral products; current industry market conditions and trends pertaining to solid oral products. Superior business, negotiation, communication, presentation and organizational skills. Aggressive, self-motivated and personable professional with a proven business development or sales track record.

Job Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:
1. Identify and close new pharmaceutical solid dosage product development and manufacturing projects and opportunities.
2. Build and maintain relationships and assure customer satisfaction with key pharmaceutical accounts.
3. Participate in the development and lead the implementation of pharmaceutical advertising, marketing, and sales strategies.
4. Participate in applicable pharmaceutical industry associations including attendance and public speaking engagements at shows, seminars, conferences, etc.
5. Participate in the identification of potential pharmaceutical product candidates appropriate for in-house development using proprietary delivery technologies.
6. Establish, maintain and submit project activity, revenue and other reports to track and update business development and sales activities and progress.
7. Participate in pharmaceutical advertising, marketing and sales budget.
8. Provide routine updates to Vice President.
