Pharmacists

PHARMACISTS-- New York Hospital Queens, a 439-bed teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center has the following career opportunities for New York State licensed Pharmacists:

Pharmacist, Night Shift Work another pharmacist and a tech; position responsibilities incl: limited IV admixture com pounding, medication cassette check ing and pharmacy tech supervision. Flex hours: 9pm-8am, 7 out of 14 days, every other weekend.

Full Time, Temporary (Days) Responsibilities include medication cassette checking, provision of drug info & pharmacy technician supervision. Previous exp with computerized physician order entry systems and automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) preferred . Flex hours, 6am-5pm, 7 out of 14 days, every other weekend.

Pharmacist, Full Time (Eves) Responsibilities include medication cassette checking, provision of drug info and pharmacy technician supervision. Rotation through the main and satellite pharmacies as well as the ED. Prior exp with computerized physician order entry systems & automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis) preferred; Flex hours: 12 noon-11pm, 7 out of 14 days, every other weekend.

Pharmacist, Per Diem Responsibilities include medication cassette checking, provision of drug information, and pharmacy technician supervision. Flexible hours

Pharmacist Intern, Per Diem Responsibilities incl: working w/pharmacists & techs to dispense medication orders, and automated dispensing cabinet medication replenishment. Position hours: every other weekend & some partial shift evenings per week.

Positions require candidates to review and verify of medication orders via the newly installed computerized physician order entry system and IV admixtures. Hospital exp is pref'd, however we are willing to train the right candidates.
