The Training Specialist with Learning and Performance Development plays a crucial role in the education of Omnicell personnel and customers. The Training Specialist will also be responsible for training our Pharmacy System Admin classes and other product training classes as needed.  This position is located in Mountain View, CA with travel to TN and other locations as necessary.


Major Responsibilities:

* Conducts training to customers and employees, evaluates effectiveness through follow up and research based on feedback of participants and management
* Assists in developing long range strategies for training and development programs and appropriate courses

*Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions

*Assists in developing long range strategies for training and development programs and appropriate courses

*Works with cross functional groups to ensure that course material reflects current product features
* Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.
* Monitors training to ensure quality programs and conformance with department, federal and state requirements.
* Install, configure and maintain the application environment in the classroom
* Ensures that the training program(s) meets company and customer objectives
* Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training
* Research and apply creative Adult Learning techniques to education solutions
* Keep up with market issues and competitive information related to Omnicell’s line of pharmacy products
* Develop related pharmacy product and solutions test material for Omnicell personnel and customers

*Assists in the development and production of blended learning methods (Instructor led, e-Learning, On-line, Webinars, CD and Video).


Other responsibilities/accountabilities (marginal functions)-
* May oversee maintenance of training records and resource library



Requirements:

* BS/BA degree in business or equivalent experience, especially in the Healthcare market

* 3-5 years experience within a pharmacy environment a plus

*Pharmacy Training a plus

* Inpatient pharmacy and automation experience is preferred.
* Application training experience is preferred
* Results-oriented individuals who demonstrate the ability to developing training objectives
* Experience in designing and developing coursework and evaluating the training
* Proven ability to present training to adult groups in structured learning situations and using a variety of Adult Learning techniques and training methods

* Knowledge of Omnicell products and/or experience with automated pharmacy and supply equipment a plus

*Ability to be proactive in seeking feedback and implementing new ideas
*Ability to travel up to 50%

* Ability to work independently and also in direct support of Training Manager
