Primary Responsibility

 

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating of products through the complete production cycle.  Works from the master production schedule and engineering demands to create daily schedules.  Defines priorities to ensure schedules are achieved.  Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.  Uses Promis to drive appropriate line load in particular buffer stocks.  Reviews labour loading, capacity requirements, and standards i.e. yield and cycle times.  Provides input to management, reschedules, and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production, and engineering managers to reschedule in case of design changes, labour and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.  Maintains on time delivery and master production adherence reporting.  Enters “Promis” process deviations to ensure lots meet current schedules.  Participates in process improvement activities.

 

Essential Knowledge and Skills

 

–  A Bachelor’s in Commerce or equivalent experience, preferably CAPICS.

–  Minimum of three(3) years PROMIS experience.

–  Ability to use scheduling / EXCEL / PROMIS software to accomplish specific production control / material control activities.

–  Ability to analyze and forecast open W/O shortages and / or risks and to develop strategies to mitigate the risk.

–  Ability to report on backlog in unit of measure “Qty”.

–  Must have above average computer literacy skills.
