Polymer Chemist

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in the design and synthesis of polymers, and familiarity with polymer physics (adhesion, mechanics, solution properties, etc.). The candidate should have a strong background in chemistry, and extensive practical, hands-on laboratory experience. The nature of scientific problems at Kodak necessitate versatility in skills that one can adapt to applications including polymer synthesis for inks, toners, and coatings. Experience in step-growth polymerization is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to working in our multi-disciplinary teams. The individual will collaborate with other scientists on exciting and engaging research aligned with Kodak's current and future material science needs. Education: PhD in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry Other Qualifications: Extensive hands-on laboratory synthetic chemistry Use of modern methods of polymer characterization Understanding of colloid science desired
