The Post Doctoral Fellow will be responsible for experimental research, design, analysis and written documentation of original research in a therapeutics research laboratory. The individual will work independently and collaborate with other team members. The Post Doctoral Fellow will be expected to prepare technical reports, present data within the corporation and at external scientific meetings, and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The individual will be expected to establish independent and innovative research programs within a multifunctional environment. The candidate will work in a team involved in basic and applied research, and interact with other technology groups. A Ph.D. in materials science/polymer science/chemical/biomedical engineering or other related field is required. Strong knowledge and experience of polymer science, polymer processing, different characterization techniques, structure-property relationships, and drug delivery is required. Knowledge of transport and diffusion behavior of small molecules in a polymer system; computational modeling; and bioabsorbable polymers is preferred. The ability to be self-motivated, productive, and have excellent computer, strong verbal and written communication skills is required.
