You will also formulate and design software system, using scientific analysis, visual modeling and/or mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design and develop software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Additionally, you will consult with customer concerning maintenance of software system and may coordinate the installation of software system.You will prioritize issues of varying severity and effectively manage the resolution of all assigned issues. You will also take ownership of technical issues and appropriately update both the customer and Hospira technical management of the status of all issues on a timely basis. In addition, you will manage the resolution of assigned technical issues for customers and keeps support system updated with current information, recommendations and purposed resolutions and participate in customer calls and manages customer interactions.Other responsibilities: Execute specification writing, test protocol writing and design change verification testing Work within a source-code control environment Perform design and code reviews Deliver commitments to customers and managementTo be successful in this position, you must possess: Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred Minimum of 4-10 years Web and/or PC Java applications design, development or support experience using a multiple tier environment (web player, middleware and database) Knowledge of internet/networking protocols and languages including HTML, JavaScript, AJAX and XML Familiarity with Java technologies: JSP, Struts, EJB 3.0, J2EE Experience with Eclipse, JBuilder and/or Netbeans IDEs Experience with Application servers such as JBOSS Customer facing environments experience Experience in trouble shooting enterprise network problemsWe offer an agile, yet balanced work culture and the types of compensation and benefits you’d expect from an industry leader.
