Principal Manufacturing Electrical Engineer
Bioness (www.bioness.com) is searching for an experienced and self-starting Principal Manufacturing Electrical Engineer. This position is responsible for electrical manufacturing process development, process validation and manufacturing support for existing and new implantable medical devices.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide electrical engineering leadership and support for assembly processes on implantable and related external product lines, manufacturing ramp of new products and production line transfers. Develop manufacturing processes, conduct process FMEAs, perform IQ/OQ/PQ, conduct engineering tests, prepare engineering and validation reports. Support and develop electrical manufacturing processes for new products, product changes and enhancements, and support of related electronic tooling and fixtures. Plan and schedule projects in a manner consistent with organizational objectives. Work with product development staff to ensure manufacturability, quality and labor efficiencies. Complete accurate and timely manufacturing documentation including manufacturing procedures, materials records, specifications, procurement, etc. Interface with designers, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, suppliers and other groups as necessary.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, and other engineering areas.
EXPERIENCE: Requires 10+ years of industrial electronic manufacturing and test experience. Medical device experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to analyze fairly complex data and good knowledge of SPC.Innovative, resourceful and work with minimal direction.Willing and able to provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and technicians.Excellent analytical capability and skills.Ability to communicate clearly, concisely with all levels of employees. Must be a team player.Strong customer, quality and results orientation.Excellent technical writing (plans + report writing) skills are required.Must have hands-on manufacturing experience.Experience in laser materials processing, resistance welding and tooling design are a plus.
