Principal Research Scientist, In Vivo Oncology (Team Lead) - (Job Number: 0801229) DescriptionCentocor Research and Development, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Principal Research Scientist, In Vivo Oncology (Team Lead), located in Radnor, PA. Centocor Research and Development, develops innovative biomedicines. The world leader in monoclonal antibody production and technology, Centocor has brought critical biologic therapies to patients suffering from debilitating immune disorders. This is a Principal Research Scientist position that will support the development of novel tumor models to evaluate biological therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. The candidate will be responsible for the development of relevant tumor models to evaluate the efficacy of cancer therapeutics and understand the in vivo mechanisms of action of these therapeutics. The candidate will also be responsible for managing external collaborations and partnerships for in vivo pharmacological studies. Expertise in the design, execution and analysis of in vivo tumor models for oncology is essential. Expertise in tumor biology and signal transduction is critical. Expertise in preclinical imaging preferred. The candidate will be responsible for: participating in tumor biology related projects that involve in vivo model development and imaging with an ultimate goal of developing antibody therapeutics; contributing to the preparation and submission of invention disclosures, and patent applications, to secure intellectual property; contributing or writing technical reports, preparing and presenting posters at National and International meetings and contributing to preparation and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals; initiating and managing internal and external collaborative projects; teach newly developed models to co-workers and collaborate with other groups within Centocor to expedite product development.. D. with at least 5 years work experience after post-doctoral training. Must have at least 3yrs research experience in in vivo Tumor Biology and a thorough understanding of Molecular Oncology. Industry experience is highly preferred. Candidate must also have experience with developing in vivo models, mammalian tissue culture, siRNA technology as well as experience in signal transduction and molecular Oncology. The preferred qualifications with this opportunity include: tumor biology, Western and FACS analysis, and imaging-related techniques (PET, MRI and CT). Candidate must have strong oral and written skills, and experience maintaining a record of studies in the form of notebooks, technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
