Principal Scientist/Engineer, Chemical Physics (69339)

UTRC invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of Principal Scientist, Chemical Physics. This position reports to a Senior Fellow and is targeted at growing and developing a team of world-class international scientific contributors located within Russia and Eastern Europe.

The primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist in formulation of strategic vision for expansion.
- Engaging Program Offices to develop an understanding of current directions, identify technical gaps and to formulate future activities and create project opportunities.
- Assist in the identification and assessment of potential contributors.
- Contribute to technical and scientific research related to projects.
- Participation in the preparation of technical proposals and reports.
- Administrative responsibilities include execution of technical service agreements, monitoring of technical progress and providing progress reports in a timely matter to Project Leaders.


Masters degree in a technical field (physical sciences or engineering)is required.

Ph.D. is preferable.

Masters degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience is required.

Ph.D. with at least 7 years post-degree experience is preferred.

The candidate should be highly motivated and possess strong organizational, teamwork, communication and process discipline skills. The candidate should also be willing to expand his/her technical knowledge field in new areas and applications of high impact to the organization.

The preferred candidate should be capable of verbally communicating in the Russian language.
