The Principal Technician, CAD Drafting under very limited to no supervision and at times independently, works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgement and initiative are required to solve problems and make recommendations. Provides guidance, training and direction to less seasoned employees. Applies non'standard electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, optical or test technician duties in such areas as manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, engineering, where considerable judgement and initiative is required. Constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests, documents and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems. AA or equivalent; or trade/technical schooling and 6-10 years of in-depth experience as a Technician in two or more of the following disciplines ' electronics, mechanics, production, electromechanical, test, quality, industrial, or bio'medical production is required.(It is anticipated that incumbents achieve this level through extensive experience rather than formal education.) Previous/current experience in the medical device industry is preferred. It is required that the Principal Technician be well versed in the use of Solidworks, ProE, CAD and general mechanical design. They will be responsible for design and drafting. Ability to use the most sophisticated test and measurement equipment associated with specific discipline. Reads and understands complex technical documentation associated with specific discipline. In-depth ability to use PC's and associated sophisticated software. Thorough knowledge of company and related product. Ability to read, write, communicate and understand English. Must have successfully completed company/department training courses in manufacturing techniques Thorough knowledge of lab maintenance, setup and functionality. Thorough and in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements (GMP and ISO). Significant design capabilities in appropriate discipline. Apply Now
