VisEn Medical, based in Woburn, MA, is pioneering the development of novel imaging agents and optical tomographic imaging systems that enable quantitative imaging of biologic and molecular activity in animals and in humans. The Company's technology platforms are currently being commercialized and are expected to have a major impact in basic research, drug development, and ultimately on the detection, characterization and treatment of human disease.

Position Details:

The ideal candidate in this role will be responsible for the manufacturing of products, synthesis and purification of compounds, analytical testing.  Additionally the candidate will be involved in implementing new products into a manufacturing environment, as well as writing standard operating procedures. 

Requirements:BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline with 0-2 years experience in an academic or industrial research laboratory settingHands-on experience with wet chemistry techniques, routine laboratory techniques, and purification of materials is required. A working knowledge of analytical instrumentation including HPLC (SEC, GPC, RPHPLC), GC, FTIR, and fluorescence is preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a sustainable enthusiasm as well as a focused commitment to the goals of the organization

 Experience with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

 Experience with peptides, biopolymers or small molecule synthesis is a plus.
