Process Development Scientist

Verenium is looking for two Process Development Scientists with experience in fermentation plant operations, process development or applied research. Responsibilities include:Developing procedures and supervising microbial fermentations in a commercial plant environment Collecting and analyzing data Overseeing all aspects of developing a commercial process fermentation and process from bench to scale Participating in project teams to develop products and processes Managing research associates

Expertise in design of experiments or process modeling is required.  Experiences in robust fermentation processes, and heterologous expression hosts in one bacteria, yeast or filamentous fungi are desired.

This position requires a BS or higher degree in Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or Process Development with 5+ years experience. Industry experience is a plus but not required.
