Product Director Work Location: Buffalo Grove, ILShifts: 1Positions Available: 1Position Summary Under general direction of the Director – Product & Solutions Management, supports the fast growing field of pharmacy automation systems by ensuring market needs are defined and long term strategy for portfolio through market analysis is implemented for the AmerisourceBergen Solutions Group. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Defines and documents user requirements for new and improved features and functionality; tracks these features through development. Provides sales training and supporting documentation and literature. Directs product launch processes including customer relationships for beta sites. Provides support and proactively manages product changes and modifications. Prepares and manages products for conventions and corporate showroom. Demonstrates product application and value at trade shows and during customer visits to the corporate office. Obtains and organizes customer feedback and competitive information through the use of research, surveys and user groups. Coaches, mentors and supervises Product Managers. Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program; MS or MBA preferred. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years related and progressively responsible experience, including prior supervisory experience and at least two (2) to four (4) years experience in a business-to-business environment preferred. Product Management experience in healthcare strongly preferred; pharmacist or pharmacy technician in a retail, hospital or LTC setting highly desirable.
