Product Director - Bodycare - (Job Number: 0805808) Description Neutrogena Corporation, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Product Director for Bodycare, located in Los Angeles, CA. Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body l otion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products. This position will be responsible for the Bodycare line which includes bar and liquid cleansers, hand care, body lotion, sun protection, wound care and lip care with brand sales of approximately $ 90MM. Identify and develop innovation for assigned product line from conceptual states through launch. Develop strategic marketing plans to increase market share and meet goals for revenue and profitability. Develop multi-generational innovation strategy and plans that deliver to overall strategic objectives. Maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials and events. Plan and direct performance of one or more employees, including Assistant and/or Associate Product Directors: Motivate employees, assist in goal setting, provide development opportunities and performance feedback, address complaints and resolve problems. Lead cross-functional teams that may include R&D, Dermatologics, Sales, Graphics, Packaging, Market Research, Finance and Operations to develop and manage marketing objectives, goals and strategies. Lead the product development process: Identify new consumer insights, develop concepts, assess market potential and partner with R&D and Dermatologics, as well as other functional areas, to quickly bring viable new products to market. Lead strategy development efforts for advertising, creative and media programs. Coordinate with the Public Relations Department, Public Relations agency and Customer Marketing (Sales) to ensure consistency between promotions and brand objectives. Manage production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support marketing programs. Interface with the advertising agency during their strategic campaign development and the subsequent execution of brand promotional plans including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage. Assist Dermatologics in strategy development for their brand. Develop and manage brand budget and meet target goals. Direct the analysis of syndicated data (IRI), other market research (such as home use tests) and internal sales reports; continuously monitor competitive activity; recommend adjustments to strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required with an emphasis in Marketing. An MBA is preferred. A minimum of five years related marketing experience is required. Experience in the Health and Beauty (HBA) industry is highly preferred. Experience in the packaged goods industry is preferred. Experience in launching new products is required. Must have experience in developing advertising creative and managing media budget. Experience in employee supervision is preferred. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
