Primary role is to provide for a specific product line or brand, decisive leadership in all areas of the marketing mix related to product development, price, promotion, and channels of distribution. Responsible for maximizing consumer and/or physician acceptance, market penetration, and often the profitability of a particular major product or brand, or small group of related products. Coordinates the work of specialists (in-house and external) in such activities as product and other promotion devices, sales training, and often costing and pricing. May have Associate Product Directors covering one or more of these specialties with respect to the particular products within the scope of responsibility. Develops and executes comprehensive brand strategy and marketing plans(s). Forecasts customer demand and participates in review of sales and demand forecasts for assigned product line. Provides leadership, support and expertise to the sales organization and distribution channels for the product line. Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred. A minimum of 4 years of successful marketing experience required. Field sales or sales training experience a plus and may a substitute for marketing experience.In-depth knowledge of the Interventional Cardiology marketplace preferred. Ability to formulate quick and long-standing internal and external relationships required.Good written and oral English communication skills required.
