Product Director-Global Stapling - (Job Number: 0801031) DescriptionEthicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., a member of Johnson and Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Product Director-Global Stapling, to support our global product development endocutter franchise located in Cincinnati, OH. Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. develops and markets advanced medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. The company focuses on procedure-enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. Products include: the ENDOPATH XCEL Access System; CONTOUR Curved Cutter Stapler; HARMONIC ultrasonic cutting and coagulating surgical devices; and the MAMMOTOME Breast Biopsy System for diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer. The Product Director - Global Stapling will be responsible for developing and implementing endocutter products and marketing strategies for the purpose of maximizing global revenue, profitability, and procedure adoption. They will also be working closely with business partners in R&D, Operations, and Global Marketing and Sales partners to execute comprehensive and integrated product/procedure development and business plans. The Product Director - Global Stapling will work with Market Research to design and implement a market research plan to determine the Voice of Customer (VOC) that drives product development and specific design targets while managing trade-offs. They will execute key Marketing Deliverables such as requirements development, Product Charter, Product Criteria, as described in Corporate New Product Development Procedures. They will set up site visits, tele-healthcare events, panel meetings and educate the team on the procedures and products relevant to the project. The Product Director - Global Stapling will work with the sponsor team to gain support for direction and to gain commitment around trade-off decisions as well as apprising them of all risks and mitigation plans. They will work with Global Marketing partners and key US commercial partners, such as Business Analytics and Finance, to develop the financial goals of the project as prepared in the Capital Appropriations Request. This includes global forecasts, adoption rates and a comprehensive pricing strategy. The Product Director - Global Stapling will work with the team, clinical R&D and the regulatory department to develop a clinical and regulatory strategy to ensure appropriate approvals and claims to sell in target markets. They will work with functional marketing, marketing agencies, and the sales organization to define and execute the branding, positioning and launch strategy. They will act as a liaison as the product is transitioned to functional marketing. The Product Director - Global Stapling will also work with Operations to develop and implement a global phase-in phase-out strategy, packaging strategy, and demand plan. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A Masters level degree or MBA is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of marketing or marketing related experience (such as sales, business development, franchise development or market research) is required. Experience in one of the following industries: medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare consumer products is required. Launch experience is desirable. Experience developing business plans is required. Strong financial analysis is required. Strong presentation development and delivery experience is required. Must have the ability to influence without authority. Demonstrated ability to multi-task is required.Approximately 30% global and domestic travel is required.
