Product Director - Strategic Customer Development - (Job Number: 0806134) DescriptionEthicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., a member of Johnson and Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Product Director - Strategic Customer Development, located in Cincinnati, OH. Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc. develops and markets advanced medical devices for minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. The company focuses on procedure-enabling devices for the interventional diagnosis and treatment of conditions in general and bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal health, gynecology and surgical oncology. Products include: the ENDOPATH XCEL Access System; CONTOUR Curved Cutter Stapler; HARMONIC ultrasonic cutting and coagulating surgical devices; and the MAMMOTOME Breast Biopsy System for diagnosis of early-stage breast cancer. The Product Director - Strategic Customer Development will develop and implement a marketing strategy and business plan based on the understanding of competitive products, customer preferences, and market dynamics, as well as develop annual competitive sales impact based on competitor business and marketing strategies, adoption rates, and product offerings. The Product Director - Strategic Customer Development will participate in the creation of a comprehensive enterprise marketing plan targeted toward specific payor and provider customer segments. Creative briefs, marketing and interactive collateral will be developed from this plan. The Product Director - Strategic Customer Development will also create marketing communications plans and conduct presentations for key customer visits as necessary. A minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing or a business related field is required. A minimum of 3 years of marketing or marketing related experience (such as sales, business development, franchise development or market research) is also required. Marketing experience in Medical device or Pharmaceuticals or Consumer Products is highly desirable. Successful candidates must have demonstrated experience building strong partnerships between cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, operations, and/or other key functional stakeholders to deliver business objectives. Experience building strategies against competitors and executing against them is required. Experience working with agencies, including an excellent understanding of creative process and how to build a creative brief and execute against it is highly desirable. Familiarity with Market Branding and Copy Writing is preferred, as is familiarity with Content Web Site Design and Construction Processes. Experience developing business plans is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required along with strong presentation development and delivery experience. Good Organizational Skills are also required. Must have the ability to influence without authority. This position requires approximately 25% travel domestically.
