Product Manager - Biotechnology

eBioscience is a rapidly growing fast paced biotech company that provides innovative high quality reagents to researchers worldwide that empower the process of scientific discovery in the areas of cellular immunity and oncology.  Our extensive portfolio of leading edge cell analysis products and technologies focused on flow cytometry and immunodetection position our customers to be at the forefront of science.  Product line applications include reagents for: multicolor flow and immunofluorescence, bioassays, ELISA, ELISPOT and western blot.

Job Summary

As a member of the marketing department, the product manager will be responsible to develop, implement, and monitor tactics to promote the commercial growth of eBioscience products.  This includes launching products, building and reinforcing awareness of eBioscience as a market leader.  This position is accountable for developing and maintaining product marketing plans that produce an optimal mix of sales, growth and profitability. Monitors competitive environment and identifies strategic and tactical marketing opportunities. Other duties include but not limited to the following:

 

· Day to day management of the designated product portfolio including monitoring the life cycle of products

· Managing new product development initiatives from idea generation through market launch, developing product requirements and user needs and development of business cases to support new product ideas.

· Develop and make recommendations on product sales forecasts and production inventory



The successful candidate will demonstrate ability in the following areas:



· Responsiveness to internal and external customers

· Ability  to work at a fast pace with minimal supervision or structure

· Deliver quality work product against key objectives and timelines

· Conduct an accurate financial evaluation of a project

· Strong project management skills

· Sensing product & market opportunities and bringing license opportunities in house

Requirements

Minimum Education: 

· Bachelor's degree.  MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience: Must have a minimum of three to four (3-4) years experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry including a background in flow cytometry & immunofluorescence microscopy.  One to two (1-2) years in product and/or market management.  Business experience may include product management, marketing, or business development.
