Product Manager (SW)
This position will be responsible for development and implementation of marketing strategies and tactics. The successful candidate will have ample opportunity to demonstrate an outstanding record of achievement through excellent leadership and teamwork. The individual will interact with sales, marketing and senior management teams in a fast-paced, dynamic growing organization.
Job Description: Analyze market research in order to create relevant, market specific strategies to ensure achievement of sales objectives for the brand; work with the sales and management teams to develop and coordinate marketing and tactical plans for this growing drug; oversee development of acquisition and retention strategies, tactics and execution; work with agencies of record and both internal and external brand teams to develop and produce promotional and educational materials. Ensure regulatory compliance for all programs and materials; manage project budgets to ensure maximum return on spending, including day-to-day progress of projects and accountability; work closely with field sales teams to gain additional market insight and ensure implementation within defined marketing strategies and tactics; work closely with sales training to direct development of training materials and field communications related to each marketing initiative; actively participate in strategic, life-cycle plan development; participate in key sales situations– i.e. presentations to key stakeholders and advisory panel discussions with internal team as well as physicians.
Experience/Educational Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2-4 years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare-related experience with a minimum of two years in one or more of the following areas: Sales Training, Market Research, Market Planning, Sales Management (including Managed Care) or Medical and Scientific Affairs. BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree preferred. In addition at least 2 years experience in pharmaceutical sales is prefered. The successful candidate will have a proven record of strong leadership and outstanding achievement in a variety of positions. Solid business acumen, good judgment and people skills are required as well as an understanding of how marketing ties into the profitability of a company are required. This position demands consistent initiative with a style that is characterized by urgency, focus and discipline. Candidates should be resourceful, strategic, and analytical thinkers, and display sound strategic marketing skills in the areas of project design, management and execution. Candidates should be adaptable to a highly dynamic environment, and be able to handle numerous projects and responsibilities across multiple functional areas. You must be accustomed to delivering on objectives without sacrificing quality, profitability or deadlines and have demonstrated abilities in building and managing multi-functional strategic relationships. The chosen candidate must be an effective manager and team player who inspires confidence with colleagues as well as within the organization. Lastly, you must be capable of managing as well as motivating. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
