Production Operator

Job ID: 214Location: Durham, NCDepartment: BacT/Alert ManufacturingEducation Required: High School DiplomaExperience Required: 3 - 5 YearsPosition Description: This 3rd shift position provides production support to the Manufacturing Department in the BacT/Alert area. Routine job responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to assisting with the manufacturing of Liquid Emulsion Sensor bottles and the filling of various types of blood culture media. Requires disassembling and reassembling of parts, equipment and bulking tanks requiring sanitation. Processes manufacturing directions and work orders. Interacts with management team, production team members, maintenance technicians, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the daily execution of job duties. High volume and fast paced manufacturing environment. Ability to cross train in the operation of 10 different manufacturing machines. Performs fill checks and determines fill volumes by using SPC. Requires adherence to FDA Regulations, GMP, ISO and other Department procedures and Manufacturing Directions. Position Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in a FDA regulated manufacturing environment desired. Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO regulations desired. Knowledge of production equipment and proficiency in the operation of production equipment(ex. filling machine, vacuum degassing equipment, crimping machine, trayloader, SPC Datamyte, case sealing machine, and electric pallet jack). Good communication skills required. Requires prolonged standing up to 8+ hours and routine lifting of 20 pounds.Demonstrated ability to problem solve and make decisions in a team environment. .
