Production Shift Supervisor - Colwich, KS

Abengoa Bioenergy has an immediate opportunity available for a Production Shift Supervisor at its ethanol manufacturing facility located in Colwich, KS.

 

Responsibilities

§ Monitor process operating parameters, prioritizing changes to variables.

§ Make multiple daily plant rounds checking equipment for possible problems.

§ Recommend preventative maintenance or repair.

§ Troubleshoot processing problems and provide operators assistance as required.

§ Plan, direct and supervise crews daily work assignments.  Provide feedback continually on positive and negative employee performance and safety issues.

§ Communicate shift change information with shift supervisors.

§ Participate in meetings and planning sessions.

§ Control the application of safety and health policies, measure, detect variances and take appropriate corrective measures.

§ Perform other duties as required.

 

Requirements

§ Bachelor degree and three to five years experience in ethanol or related industry preferred or two year technical degree in related field and three years experience required.

§ Prior supervisory/leadership experience.

§ Excellent analytical, decision-making and troubleshooting skills.

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
