We are seeking a talented, motivated, and goal-oriented individual to join Ironwood Pharmaceuticals’s Program Management group.  The successful applicant will play an important role in supporting Microbia’s cross-functional drug discovery and development teams in their quest to create new human medicines.   Responsibilities:Assisting in the management of day-to-day program operations using the methodologies/tools of scheduling/timeline development/resources to drive delivery of strategic and tactical milestonesWorking with the program manager and project teams to develop detailed project plans and process maps to manage the project to key milestones and targetsAiding in the development and management of project budgets and forecasts.  Tracking POs, invoices, and projected spending.Assisting teams in the preparation of meeting minutes, presentation materials and follow up action items.Maintain tools for internal and external communication about program goals and progress (Intranet sites, program summary documents, etc.)

 Requirements:Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a proactive, positive and constructive mannerStrong computer skills (and strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Experience working with therapeutics drug development teams (1-2 years desirable)Excellent written and communication skillsBasic understanding of the elements of drug development as well as program management tools to support drug developmentPassion to achieve project goals/milestones, commitment to meet and improve established timelines, and desire to maintain and affirm a results-oriented cultureScientific background (B. S. level or higher) is desirable
