OTC Commercialization is a division within McNeil Consumer Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Project Manager, Growthlocated in Ft. Washington, PA. The Project Manager position will lead OTC Project teams responsible for the management and execution of all new product development and launches. Successful Project Management includes guiding the Demand (Marketing, Business Insights, and Sales) and the Supply (Product Development and Supply Chain) related activities to meet business commitments including demonstrated proficiency in business acumen, project management, communication, process management, and performance management. The Project Manager is responsible for cross-functional partnering to lead and influence business strategy while assisting in prioritizing organizational resources. Project Managers will represent team recommendations at the Management Board and thus should have significant experience in demonstrating influence over governance bodies and communicating via formal presentation to senior consumer management (Vice President and above). Making the complex simple and representing a true enterprise view are critical competencies. The Project Manager will lead and manage cross-functional teams to create aggressive plans to realize commercial opportunities and to execute according to contracted targets. They maximize market value; optimize cycle time and profitability, all while minimizing risk. The expectation of a Project Manager within the enterprise is that they are accountable for their teams' recommending the appropriate business recommendations and for attainment of all aspects of the milestone and financial achievements as defined per the project contracts. The Project Manager will also identify and recommend the best enterprise business proposition. Come to the table with options (thought through while encouraging dialogue/healthy conflict). Risk management ' identification, clear communication, mitigation plans. Clear and concise communication. Empower the teams to make recommendations and decisions. Make recommendations to management board considerate of full P&L evaluations. Ensure an enterprise portfolio view - utilize/reallocate resources (what will be sacrificed). Hold team members accountable for deliverables and achieving targets. A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Physical Sciences, Business or a related discipline is required. A Masters degree or MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry. A minimunm of 3 years of project management, team leadership or functional line management experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Proven leadership with significant experience in demonstrating effective influence of senior management (Vice President and above). Proven record of managing a team to recommend a course of action and deliver results. Experience in an OTC or Pharma regulated environment. Familiar with standard PM tools and templates. Financial aptitude. Innovation / creative in the development of tactics. Balanced knowledge and competencies within Marketing/Business Insights/Sales and the Product Development/Supply Chain roles. A PMP or a Project Management certification, Process Excellence or Six Sigma training is a plus.
