Project Manager / PI

The position of Project Manager/Principal Investigator will include the following job duties: Direct and participate in the development and validation of immunoassays to meet final requirements of QA review and release. Direct and participate in the research and development of new technologies to satisfy the analytical needs of clients. Perform assays according to GLP guidelines. Assure that laboratory personnel are qualified to perform assigned tasks. Responsible for general lab safety with regard to employees and clients. Responsible for keeping accurate inventory of supplies for laboratory operations Responsible for accurate record keeping with regards to sponsor’s samples, data, and reports. Responsible for preparing, signing and dating reports and the GLP compliance statement. Responsible for SOP and bioanalytical procedure deviations and notification of study director. Responsible for communications with the Study Director with regards to progress of the study. Responsible for ensuring that the protocol and its amendments are available to all involved in the study, including QA, in a timely manner. Responsible for responding to QA inspection and audit reports promptly, indicating the corrective actions . Writing of SOPs and contribution to final written SOPs in the laboratory Responsible for following current guidelines for validation of assays. Interact with clients on technical issues. Interact with VP of Immunochemistry on new projects and ongoing projects. Responsible for directing supporting analysts and generating the final project report suitable for submission to the clients (and their subsequent submission to the agency). Responsible for the timely transfer of data and records.

Requirements: B.S. in biochemistry, chemistry, or medical technology degree. 5-10 years experience in immunochemistry laboratory performing esoteric testing; technical experience with immunoassays, ie ELISAs, RIAs,cell based assays Advanced computer skills; with word processing, EXCEL, Access, etc. Good multi-tasking skills; good interpersonal skills Knowledge of GLP requirements
