PROJECT MANAGER
MORI Associates, Inc. “MORI” is a Full Service Information Technology Integrator and provider of Network Engineering and Software Development to both government and commercial customers.
We are currently in search for a Project Manager for a position based at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD.
The Project Manager will serve as MORI’s single contract manager (reporting to Division VP/Program Director) and shall be MORI’s authorized interface with the Government Project Officer, government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning staff members schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes and goals for project staff members.
The Project Manager shall coordinate on behalf of MORI Associates and the Government Project Officer with functional area and IT operations to ensure that the Government Project Officer direction is followed in relation to NIH architecture and engineering and change management efforts. Review and provide recommendation on architectural additions or modifications. Provide guidance for engineering, architectural, and technology changes to the NIH information management and IT environment. Ensure project management processes and support information assurance compliance. Participate in applications development and software engineering and lead the other developers and provide coding expertise. Ensures all application developments and software engineering adhere to government and industry best practices/standards.
Education/Qualifications:At minimum BS or MS degree in Business, Information Management, or a related field; Certified Project Management Professional- PMP from PMI or equivalent. Posses at least a Six Sigma certification or equivalent. ITIL Foundations Certification desired. Knowledge in Earned Value Management (EVM). At least 5 to 7 years experience as a Project Manager. Minimum 10 years of industry experience and software engineering. Knowledge and experience with business case analysis. Ability to lead a team of application developers and DBA for existing projects using .NET, Java, Oracle, and MS SQL. Requires up-to-date expertise in application coding with latest development tools to assist the application developers with coding, design, development and implementation and database administration. Extensive experience in applications designs, database development & administration. Risk management. Customer service/relationship managements. Must be able to closely work, cooperate and collaborate with the Government employees. Review requirements and develop project charts, determine goals, time frame, and funding. Provide procedures for accomplishing goals, staffing requirements and allocations of resources. Excellent knowledge of open source systems and other COTS products related to healthcare.
Salary:
