Job Description Project Manager - Sino Star Position Summary: This key new role plans, coordinates and participates in every aspect and activity of the Sino-Star project to establish manufacturing capacity in China for LCD.  The primary objective of this position is to plan, schedule and follow-up on project status with cross-functional, international team.  Key Responsibilties:  · Planning, coordination and project management.· Work with Finance function to establish, gain approval and report on budget status.· Monitors progress of project and prepares reports for team members, Steering Committee and executives as required.· Maintains close communication with team members and steering committee so the goals and objectives of the project and status are understood.· Primary liason to China team for deliverables from the U.S. and Europe. Qualifications: · 5-8 years of experience related with manager and or director positions in areas such as Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, Engineering and Finance.· 2 years of experience in lean manufacturing/ Six Sigma fields · Experience managing large multi-faceted operations projects· Bachelors degree in engineering or other related field· Masters degree preferred· Lean Manufacturing Techniques· Statistical software· Proficient on office tools, excel, word, MS project, VISIO· Solid Work and AutoCAD (preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:· Ability to supervise personnel and work requirements.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team· Willingness and ability to establish and maintain effective and cordial working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and outside contacts· Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, when required· Ability to motivate and positively influence subordinates.· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.· Ability to write reports.· Ability to speak effectively before employees and management.· Ability to solve practical and technical problems.· Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written and oral form.· Demonstrated strong client relationship skills.· Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.· Excellent Written and oral communication.· Strong Leadership and mentorship skills.· Skill in planning, organizing, and supervising or coordinating work efforts of staff and contractors Skill in project management, planning and innovation.· Skill in managing multiple projects with competing priorities.· Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, vendors, and agencies both verbally and in writing.Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
