PURCHASING AGENT (SUB-CONTRACT)

Chesapeake Biological Laboratories, Inc. (CBL), a leader in the contract development and production of sterile biopharmaceutical & pharmaceutical products seeks a Purchasing Agent (Sub-Contract) to: perform administrative tasks related to inter-company paperwork to assure prompt issuance of purchase orders to subcontractors, payments to subcontractors and billing to subcontractors; assist in establishing subcontracts for procurement of raw materials, supplies and services; interact with subcontractors as well as all levels of Company management; administer and monitor subcontracts and purchase orders through final acceptance of materials or services; prepare meeting agenda and issue minutes; provide monthly tracking of projects; participate in quarterly offsite sub-contractor meetings (travel required - 15%).

The Purchasing Agent (Sub-Contract) position requires a B.S. degree in a business discipline with 3 years experience.  Purchasing experience with subcontractors highly desired.  Technical knowledge of materials and services within the biotechnology industry preferred.  Must have knowledge of purchasing and subcontracting procedures.  Ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and subcontractors.
