Purchasing Manager

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our Parsippany, NJ based Supply Chain team.  Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Manager the incumbent will be responsible for the following: Achieve optimum cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the respect of delivery targets. Strategic and tactical procurement of given portfolios Development of price forecasts for key market drivers Interaction with Global commodity buyers on strategic direction Supply day-to-day management to insure product availability and performance Aggressive cost management to negate market movement effects Develop in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure Contract Negotiation and Development Gross margin improvement analysis and implementation Participation in new product and quality project teamsMust have a college degree in Purchasing/Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or another related discipline Must 2- 5 years of professional, industry experience in the new product and product change process, total product supply process, package development, purchasing, planning, manufacturing  and logistics. Must have the proven ability to lead and manage multi-functional resources, cross-functional teams and multiple projects and priorities. Must be exceptionally detail oriented with ability to collect data, analyze results, and present findings to senior business leaders. Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment Strong communication skills (written and oral) Must have proven organizational skills
