QUALITY SUPERVISOR - Fort Worth & Waco Plasma Centers

A division of Talecris Biotherapeutics, we play a role in the creation of innovative therapies that sustain and improve lives worldwide.  We have immediate need for Quality Supervisors at our Waco and Fort Worth 1 Texas Plasma Donor Centers.:

 

Responsibilities:

· This position is responsible for the implementation of a plasma collection facility's Quality Assurance program. This program ensures that all operations are in compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and company policies and procedures.

· Under the supervision of the Quality Manager and Center Manager, the Quality Supervisor performs Quality Assurance functions to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols.

· Oversee all plasma shipments to ensure accurate labeling and documentation; ensure that donor record files are complete and accurate; conduct internal and external audits; ensure that supplies/materials meet requirements, oversee QC checks; and related functions

· Ensure that CLIA proficiency test surveys, complaint investigations and training have been properly documented

· Ensure that job and cGMP training is completed, documented and on file and employees are following all processes and procedures and are in compliance with all SOP’s and regulations.

Requirements:

· Bachelor degree required.

· At least 1.5 – 2 years relevant industry experience should include a minimum of I year Quality Assurance in a plasma donor center, blood bank or similar medical federally regulated environment. Candidates with experience in clinical, laboratory, hospital, biologics, pharmaceutical or military environments where you have gained experience following internal and external quality regulations and protocols may be considered.

· Knowledge of cGMP's, FDA regulations, SOP's, as well as an understanding of quality.

· Individual should pursue ASQ certification during employment.

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. 

· Must have good written communication skills and be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure and technical manuals. 

· Language skills must include the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

· Math and PC (personal computer) skills are necessary as is the ability to work well independently.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

· NOTE:  Must be available to work a flexible schedule including 2 Saturdays a month.
