Quality Assurance Coordinator

We currently have an opportunity at our global headquarters in Lionville for a Quality Assurance Coordinator.  The Quality Assurance Coordinator will perform acceptance sampling and first article inspection of compression and injection mold tooling, repaired tooling, experimental tooling and trim dies utilizing proven measurement methods and techniques.  You will also maintain inspection office and equipment.

Responsibilities:

 

Perform acceptance sampling on production lots of precision molded items, new replacement and repaired mold approval runs and all experimental cavity production runs.

 

Perform acceptance sampling on all new and repaired die approval runs.

 

Determine and communicate new product defect characteristics to the Development Center and New Product Engineering.

 

Perform audits of new tooling inspection reports as directed.

 

Oversee calibration and precision of quality control tools and equipment as required.

 

Act as a liaison between the Development Center, Project Engineers, Design Engineering, Vendors, New Formula Development, Plant QA, Marketing, Sales and Account Services relating to tooling issues.

 

Provide timely and accurate mold, spare parts, trim die and experimental inspection reports.

 

Maintain relevant documentation for inspection processes (SOIs/GOPs).

 

Safeguard corporate and customer confidential information.  Perform other duties as directed.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of compression and injection mold technologies and experience in measurement techniques.  Computer literacy and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches required.  Excellent written, oral and organizational skills required.  Knowledge of basic statistics and statistical analysis software (StatGraphics) preferred.
