SUMMARY
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component. Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Assists in the validation of new and existing equipment and processes. Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current processes and process changes. Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor. Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. Maintains a working knowledge of government industry quality assurance codes and standards. Schedules and documents semi-annual media fill validations. Performs investigations for Returned Goods as well as Supplier Corrective Action Reports. Audits facility equipment calibration and preventive maintenance documents.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering; Masters Degree a plus; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
