JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance TechnicianDESCRIPTION: Quality Assurance Technicians ensure quality of processes, raw materials, and finished products through inspection, diagnosis and record keeping in a high volume, light manufacturing environment.MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform frequent line inspections.Conduct sanitation and cleaning activities.Conduct a variety of tests and use various test equipment in both production and lab settings.Data analysis.Communicate with production technicians and team leaders to resolve quality issues.Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices and safety policies.Primary Activities:Hygiene' Maintain NGMP Monitoring/Implementation' HACCP Program & Monitoring' CIP Program & Systems' SOP development & Implementation' Auditing & Troubleshooting' Water Processing Management' Pest Control Management' 5S processes' Point of contact for suppliers' People Development: Training Completion and Core Competency' Evaluation and interpretation of dataMicrobiology' Identifies microorganisms by microscopic examination of physiological, morphological and culture characteristics.'Isolates and make cultures of significant bacteria or other microorganisms in prescribed or standard media.' Coordinate sanitation activities with production schedule to be in compliance with microbiological program.' Manage all micro documentation.' Maintain micro programs in an audit ready state' Trouble shoot, track and trend micro data.' Collect all micro samples for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual samples for inside and outside lab testing.' Training all new QC/ Microbiologist' Assist with QC and sanitation activities as needed.' SOP development & Implementation' Calibration of all microbiology laboratory equipment REQUIREMENTS:BA/BS Degree preferredPrior quality assurance experienceAbility to lift up to 45 lbs. as neededAbility to frequently stand, bend, stoop and lift for a prolonged period of timeKnowledge of EPA and FDA regulations for water and waste disposalAbility to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screenThis is a tremendous opportunity in a continuously growing organization.
