At Forest, we believe in the power of potential – the potential of science, purpose and people.  At our facility in Cincinnati, OH we have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Chemist.   Responsibilities Include: Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses on raw materials, in-process and finished product samples to support manufacturing and packaging operations.  This includes GC, HPLC, dissolution, UV/vis, IR and a wide variety of raw materials / components testing (wet chemistry and physical testing).  This may also include TLC, TOC, disintegration and electrochemical testing. Documenting all laboratory work in accordance with cGMP requirements. Performing maintenance and calibration activities on complex laboratory instruments including GC, HPLC, dissolution, UV/vis and IR. Training other Chemists to properly perform laboratory procedures. Recommending changes to test methods or laboratory procedures to reduce variability and/or improve efficiency. The successful candidate will have the following: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.  A minimum of 5 years of industrial bench chemistry work experience with at least some experience in a cGMP laboratory environment and some experience in a quality control laboratory. Significant experience operating, troubleshooting and/or developing / validating test methods for both GC and HPLC instruments.  Experience performing the following types of testing are a plus: dissolution, UV/vis, IR, TLC, TOC, disintegration, electrochemical (polarography or voltammetry) or wet chemistry.In return for these skills, we offer a competitive salary and substantial benefits package including full medical, dental and life insurance; 401(k) with match and profit sharing; tuition reimbursement; and many other great benefits.
