Quality Control Lab Technician II, Analytical Lab - (Job Number: 0805421) DescriptionNeutrogena Corporation, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Senior QA Lab Technician, located in Los Angeles, California. The Quality Control Lab Technician II will perform analytical activities associated with the laboratories dedicated to the manufacturing areas from development of bulk product through to commercialization and distribution of Finished Goods at the plant level. This person will maintain GMP/GLP compliance in the labs while performing the work and must be knowledgeable of the various test methods and procedures relative to the lab. They will perform daily functions associated with Raw Material chemical sampling and testing, Micro, Bulk analytical, packaging and finished goods testing. The Quality Control Lab Technician II will comply with Neutrogena's policies, procedures, and quality standards, as well as safety and environmental regulations. Perform analytical chemical testing and organoleptic analysis of materials and products. Perform wet chemical and instrument analysis including, but not limited to IR, UV, densitometry, Karl Fisher, HPLC, and pH meter. Process, document and report results of analysis. Provide routine maintenance and calibration of instruments and laboratory equipment. Sample raw materials and perform sample preparation. Understanding of Laboratory equipment and theory of equipment testing. Understand basic GMP and documentation in a regulated industry. Analyze the physical appearance of materials and report anomalies to the lab supervisor or manager. Understand aseptic techniques. A minimum of 3 years experience in an analytical laboratory is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 2 years experience in an analytical lab is preferred. Must be able to work the day shift with varied schedule (Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat or Weds-Sun). Prior experience in performing wet chemical and instrument analysis such as IR, UV, densitometry, Karl Fisher, HPLC or pH meter would be an asset. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices and Good Laboratory Practices are required. Any prior technical writing experience is a plus. Prior experience in an FDA regulated environment would be an asset. Must have the ability to take initiative along with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
