R & D Formulator

The R & D Formulator is responsible for making bench formulations, making detailed observations, analyzing data, and interpreting results. Generates accurate and reliable master records. Assists in the development of new products and improvements on existing products. Calculates formulations based on claims and writes label copies from formulations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Manages the integrity of master formula, manufacturing procedures, and all specifications.2. Acts when standards are exceeded:' Makes necessary adjustments to bring to standard.' Reviews possible and probable causes of deviation.' Recommends steps to be taken to eliminate future deviation.3. Evaluates new raw materials and substitute raw materials.4. Supervises pilot and problem batches.5. Maintains product manuals.6. Manages change of authorization documents.7. May train and assist new R & D personnel.8. Recommends new product ideas.9. Writes reports and maintains up to date laboratory notebooks.10. Assists with physical inventory counts as requested.11. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor. Learn more about company
