Yoh Engineering has a permanent opportunity for a mid-level R&D Product Development Lab Technician to join a dynamic start-up company in St. Louis, MO.Responsibilities The individual will work closely with internal R&D leaders and external engineering partners. Projects include preliminary technology testing, design-build prototypes, ad-hoc experiments, data collection, and other duties as required. Long-run responsibilities include writing and executing product validation tests. The work schedule is flexible and a function of Companies immediate needs. Required Skills / Knowledge • Hands-on skills with tools, e.g. drill press, dremel, hand tools, etc. • Mechanically adept with ability to build reliable electro-mechanical fixtures. • Ability to use general engineering lab equipment • Independent and team problem solving skills • Take scientific and/or engineering approach to problem solving • Intellectual curiosity • Comfortable handling live animals and dead animal tissue Preferred Skills / Knowledge • Electronics and/or biomedical background • Machine shop exposure Compensation The compensation is a hybrid of performance (project based) and a flat component.
