RESEARCH ASSISTANT/POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

The Forsyth Institute is a Harvard University affiliate and is the world's leading organization dedicated to research and education in oral, craniofacial, and related biomedical science. We are seeking a full time Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Fellow in support of developmental and skeletal genetics investigations in the department of Cytokine Biology. The position for Research Assistant would include and is not limited to the following responsibilities: manuscript assistance, bacterial growth and DNA preparation, gene cloning, PCR, DNA sequence assembly and analysis,  and lab maintenance. The position requires a Bachelors degree in biology or a related field. Previous experience with molecular techniques not required, training will be provided, recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Good computer, writing, and organizational skills are preferred. The position for Postdoctoral Fellow is for the study of the mechanisms of skeletal development and diseases (see Nature Genetics, 23(4): 447-451; Hum. Mol. Genet, 16(4):410-423; Genes Dev, 21(14): 1803-1816) and the mechanisms of mammalian embryonic development and diseases (see Development, 130(7): 1367-79; Dev. Biol, 295(1): 116-127). The Postdoctoral Fellow must be a US citizen or permanent resident with green card. Self-motivated individuals trained in any area of biomedical sciences are encouraged to apply.
