Research Associate

Contract Research Associate position available within a large West Chester Bio Pharmaceutical Company.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN or possess a GREEN CARD

Start date: Immediate (after interview)

Pay Rate: negotiable 

Length of Assignment: contract scheduled until mid September, could be extended

Responsibilities:

To analyze biological samples from studies of our compounds under development.  These samples are generally plasma from mice, rats, rabbits, dogs, monkeys, or humans.  Sample processing to get the samples ready for injection onto the HPLC-MS/MS for analysis. Analyze as many samples during that period as is possible.

1 - development and validation of HPLC-MS/MS methods for the quantification of analyses of interest in biological matrices in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice regulations.

2 - assisting in troubleshooting existing bioanalytical assay methods and equipment, especially using HPLC-MS/MS technology

3 - routine sample analysis using HPLC-MS/MS under GLP conditions.

4- MUST HAVE hands on experience in conducting quantitative analysis of biological samples under GLP regulations. Candidate must have experience with small molecules (IE will not have worked exclusively with proteins, antibodies or other large molecule, biotechnology prodcuts)

Requirements:

1- BA/BS or MA/MS in bioanalytical chemistry or a closely related field and at least 2-4 years of applicable lab experience.

2-Experience in use of an HPLC-MS/MS for quantitative analysis of biometrics is essential

3- Experience in use of Thermo Finnigan HPLC-MS/MS is highly desirable, but not absolutely essential.

4- Familiarity with MS Word and Excel is necessary; familiarity with Watson LIMS and Thermo Excalibur software is highly desirable but not essential.
