A successful candidate will function within the Cancer Pathways Department chartered with understanding drug action in core regulated pathways in cancer. Approaches employ a range of molecular and cell biological experiments using chemical and genomic tools in vitro. The position involves working interactively with other researchers to develop a deep understanding of target and pathway biology.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a BS/MS degree in Biology or a related discipline, experience in cell and molecular biology techniques. In depth experience is required in the development of tissue culture assays; molecular biology techniques (ie, cloning, mutagenesis, PCR); and basic protein biochemistry methods (i.e western blots). A background in operating standard modern laboratory automation, si/shRNA screening, and bioinformatics is preferred.
The candidate should be capable of functioning as an independent and reliable scientist, with effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
