Research Associate- Discovery Research

Wellstat Biologics Corporation, a development-stage pharmaceutical company located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, currently has an opening for a Research Associate to support our Discovery Research department.  Responsibilities include running cytotoxicity/ viability, biochemical and transcription factor assays involving western blotting, ELISA, EMSA and ChIP techniques as required. Must have experience in molecular biology, tissue culture and western blotting.  Demonstrated ability with EMSA’s and/or flow cytometry is highly desirable. Experience in virology preferred but not required.  Candidate should possess a BS or MS in Biology, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology and 1- 2 years experience in an academic or industrial setting.  Excellent communications skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
