Research Associate - Protein Development - RA/90MON

R&D Systems, Inc. is a specialty manufacturer of biological products.  We are located in NE Minneapolis, just minutes from the University of Minnesota and downtown area.  More company information can be found on our website, at www.RnDSystems.com.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Protein Development Department as a full time Research Associate.

 

THE POSITION

 

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with and performing the development and optimization of protein purification procedures for natural and recombinant proteins, aiding in initial small-scale production for the release of newly developed proteins, and writing protocols for purification methods.  Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Successful candidates will have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Biochemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 0 to 5 years of experience in protein purification, protein characterization with a Bachelors, or 0 to 2 years experience with a Masters.  Must possess a working knowledge of scientific principles.  Also, must have knowledge of chromatography (ion exchange, affinity, HPLC, FPLC), SDS-PAGE and Western blot.
