We are dedicated to reaching our goal of a renaissance in health care through the collaborative effort of our people.  Please learn more about us at http://www.holliseden.comJob Description: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in cellular immunology/ inflammation to join our R&D team in support of preclinical and clinical research programs.  The successful candidate will perform studies that involve receiving, processing, and culturing blood and tissue samples, assessing cell proliferation, and analyzing culture supernatants by immunological techniques such as ELISA.  In addition, the individual will elucidate potency and mechanism-of-action of lead drug candidates, and will be involved in screening compound libraries.  Maintenance of mammalian cell cultures and handling human serum and PBMCs are major aspects of the position.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

This position requires a B.S. degree in the Biological Sciences, preferably in Immunology or Cell Biology.  The successful candidate must have at least two years hands-on experience with ELISAs and mammalian cell culture, including work with human PBMCs.  Knowledge and experience with compound library screening, assay development, and flow cytometry are pluses.  The candidate must be highly professional and able to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written English. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.  Outstanding qualities in organizational ability, ethical and scientific standards, as well as in attention to detail are essential.

 

This is a temporary position estimated to run from 4/1/08 through 12/31/08.
