The Cardiovascular and Metabolism Disease Area of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research is searching for an individual who will be responsible for running an in vivo pharmacology lab focused on drug discovery. Significant expertise in in vivo model development and implementation is required. Additional experience in biomarker assessment and PK/PD relationship is highly desired. This individuals lab will be responsible for establishing and performing in vivo screen for support of the selection and development of therapeutic agents for the treatment of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. In addition to these activities, the candidate will be expected to engage in/lead project for drug discovery and demonstrate innovative thinking and generate project ideas. The candidate will have to excel in a matrix environment, be highly collaborative, innovative, self-motivated and expected to supervise the daily activities of associate level scientists.QualificationsA Ph.D. in physiology, pharmacology or other related life science with a demonstrated record of achievement, postdoctoral experience, and at least three years or more of drug discovery/pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
