Research Scientist - Molecular Biology - San Francisco Bay Area

Position Description:

1.  Direct the activities of the molecular biology group in research and development of products, projects and programs, with responsibility for results in terms of cost, methods and employees.

2.  Work closely with R&D and product managers to determine feasibility of goals and objectives, evaluate proposed and ongoing projects, and understand the company’s markets, competition and specific products.

3.  Strong commitment to hands-on bench work.Contributes or leads in major intellectual development activities which may extend technology into new application areas.

 

Qualifications:

1.  PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or Virology. Epigenetics and /or promoter regulation highly desirable.

2.  Four plus years of post-doctoral experience.

3.  Minimum two years managing high level research staff members.

4.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5.  Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.

 

Compensation and Benefits:
